Acceptance On To Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme

County Finance Group has been officially accepted on to a major Government-backed funding programme aimed at supporting small to medium-sized enterprises.

As part of our ongoing commitment to offering firms a viable alternative to bank funding, we have been accepted as an accredited provider of the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme, an initiative which has already lent nearly £2 billion to more than 18,000 SMEs since being introduced in January 2009. The EFG scheme aims to increase access to funding for SMEs that have a viable business proposition, but lack the adequate security or proven track record to meet the criteria for a typical commercial loan. Under the initiative, the Government provides lenders with a guarantee for 75% of each individual loan, which can range from £25,001 to £1 million over a period of between one and ten years.

This fantastic news will enable us to consider funding applications from clients that would otherwise have failed to meet standard underwriting policies, increase our lending to SMEs in general, and also consider funding applications from a wider range of industries.

For further information about the Enterprise Finance Guarantee and how it could help your business, please contact a member of our team.

County Finance Group Joins Respected Finance Brokers’ Group

County Finance Group is delighted to have become a Patron of highly respected industry organisation the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB).

Founded in 1992, the NACFB is the UK’s trade body for business finance brokers. All Members, including us as Patrons, sign up to and abide by an industry-recognised Code of Practice that includes measurable standards of professional best practice, safeguarding both Members and clients against potentially restrictive practices.

As Patrons, we now join a panel of approximately 90 lenders that are available to all NACFB Members. This not only gives Members valuable access to increased funding streams, but gives us – as lenders – a great opportunity to build trusted relationships with like-minded organisations that share similar values and ethics, demonstrate a willingness to support regulation, and have a proven track-record of keeping up with ever-changing compliance, a real win-win scenario.

Further details about the NACFB can be found at its website.

Businesses Urged To Make Sense Of Succession Plans

Having a robust succession plan in place is absolutely vital to ensure the security of your business’s long-term future.

Here at County Finance Group, we’ve increasingly seen how succession plans can fail when either partners that are obligated to fund a buy-out cannot afford to do so, or partners that in reality would prefer to retire but don’t, simply because of the minimal payments they’d receive if they did. This isn’t even taking into account a whole host of other factors that could necessitate the bringing in of a new partner to a firm, such as unforeseen deaths, disabilities, resignations, or contractual terminations.

In instances such as these, having a robust and viable buy-sell agreement is an excellent starting point, which will set a legally binding contract that governs the situation in the event of a partner leaving the business. This will go some way to reassuring customers, employees, and suppliers that the company will remain secure.

Another issue we are increasingly experiencing is that younger professionals can be put off from buying in as a partner because they struggle to access the required funds. We are able to provide flexible financial packages to solve this problem, which not only enables an employee to make the transition to become a partner, but also provides existing partners with a means to exit the business and pave the way for new talent.

For more details on our complete range of partner finance packages, please contact a member of our team.

County Finance Group is delighted to launch a special service that will provide a vital alternative means of funding to small and medium sized enterprises.

With bank lending to SMEs at its lowest level since 2006, our Merchant Cash Advance Service will offer a lifeline to businesses by enabling them to sell a percentage of future sales in exchange for an upfront cash advance. Aimed at companies that require swift access to finance, the service is particularly suited to the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors whose primary payment method is through a credit card terminal.

Businesses using the service will repay the advance through a percentage of income generated via the credit card terminal. So if you experience a bumper month the repayments will be higher, leading to the advance being settled that much earlier, while conversely, if sales are slower, your repayments are lower, ensuring unnecessary pressures aren’t placed on cash flow.

For further information about the Merchant Cash Advance Service, please contact a member of our team.

Within 24 hours, County Practice Finance agreed to offer £60,000.00 over 3 months at an annual interest rate of 5.76%. Documents were signed the following day and funds transferred directly into the practice office account.

A long standing plant hire customer approached County Asset Finance Limited and asked if we could re-structure their existing Hire Purchase commitments. After taking the time to fully understand the clients business, look at current monthly expenditure and consider future contracts we agreed a £300,000.00 facility to settle existing agreements and re-schedule over a longer period. This meant that outgoings reduced considerably, only one payment coming out each month and allowed the client sufficient headroom to continue to expand.
